UAV Navigation
Electronic compass systems use 3-axis magnetic sensing to detect heading and orientation relative to the Earth’s magnetic field. In UAV, drone, and embedded navigation systems, stable magnetic measurement supports heading estimation, navigation, and control.
Overview
An eCompass typically combines a 3-axis magnetometer with system processing to estimate heading. In dynamic environments, magnetic interference, placement, calibration, and output stability all affect compass performance.
